THE POLYTECH OFFICE IN NORTH AMERICA

Established in 2022, funded by the 16 schools in the network, and administered by the POLYTECH Foundation, POLYTECH America (PAM) is the North American office of the POLYTECH network.

Its mission is to promote the POLYTECH brand and the interests of the community of students, staff and alumni in the United States and Canada, create academic and industrial partnerships and raise funds to generate transatlantic mobility programs for the benefit of students from our schools in France.

A PIONEERING, VISIONARY PROJECT

PAM is a pioneering and ambitious initiative: by setting up this office in the U.S.A. (currently in Austin, TX), the POLYTECH network is the first group of French engineering schools to attempt the American adventure. (Thanks to their business DNA, the heads of HEC did the same in 2018).

The project's strategic vision is to establish a long-term presence, creating and underpinning lasting partnerships with carefully selected industrial and academic allies, and leading to the setting up of educational programs promoting French-style engineering in the region.

Texas is the 8th largest economy in the world. Over the past 20 years, the city of Austin has benefited from the influx of major players from California's Silicon Valley (INTEL, APPLE, NVIDIA, etc.) and the establishment of Elon Musk's companies (Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, The Boring Co), establishing itself today as a key technological and academic hub - the ideal place to test the viability of PAM.

PAM is headed up by Syl Billere, a Franco-American entrepreneur and former teacher at POLYTECH Montpellier. It is supported by the schools' International Relations and Corporate Relations departments, the Foundation and POLYTECH Alumni (PAL).

FEDERATING ALUMNI IN NORTH AMERICA

In active collaboration with PAL (in particular the Pôle Montréal, led by Céline Khuu), PAM is engaged in a major campaign to identify and federate POLYTECH alumni with long-term activities in North America, with the aim of creating poles for each major city in the region (San Francisco and New York, Calgary and Vancouver, as well as a number of other hubs already under construction) and to bring our community to life on a continental scale - another first for POLYTECH, and one that serves as a model for federating our vital forces worldwide - the network now boasts over 100,000 alumni!

If you live in the United States or Canada,

join us in our drive to expand!
